Synchronized Swimming
In 1998 Carleton became the first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) school to offer synchronized swimming as a varsity sport. Nine other schools across the nation, ranging from Division I powers Ohio State University and Stanford University to schools closer to Carleton in enrollment size currently have varsity synchronized swimming programs.
- Coach Profile: Joanne Kutzler
Joanne Kutzler is a national award-winning coach, as she was named the United States Synchronized Swimming age group developmental coach of the year. A member of the U.S. Synchronized Swimming National Governing Board of Directors, she brings nearly 20 years of synchronized swimming experience to Carleton.
- Student-Athlete Profile: Elise Cordo '09
Elise Cordo is a senior from Wayzata, Minnesota. She is one of the Knights best performers, finishing seventh in the A Division of the technical event and 11th in the solo routine event at the national championship in 2006.
