Women's Tennis
Carleton competes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), which consists of 13 NCAA Division III private institutions. Competition is strong, with several teams consistently earning regional and national rankings. The Knights have enjoyed a great deal of success over the years, including national top 10 rankings in 1995 and 1996 and a team regional ranking for the past five seasons. Carleton has finished in the top three of the MIAC standings 15 times since joining the conference in 1983 and qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2004-2005.
- Coach Profile: Luciano Battaglini
Luciano Battaglini begins his first season as Carleton's head women's tennis coach in 2007-08. A native of Brasilia, Brazil, Battaglini spent the last four seasons as the assistant women’s tennis coach at the University of Minnesota.
- Student-Athlete Profile: Hannah Clemons '10
Hannah is a junior psychology major from Prairie Village, Kan. and Pembroke Hill High School. She was awarded All-Conference in singles in 2007 and Academic All-Conference in 2008.
- Student-Athlete Profile: Hannah Goldberg '10
Hannah is a junior economics major from North Oaks, Minn. and Mounds View High School. In 2007 she was awarded All-Conference in doubles.
