Thailand 2004 Trip Itinerary

June 13, Fly to Bangkok (lose a day due to International Date line)
June 14, Arrive at Bangkok
June 15, Bangkok—Palace & Wats, Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arung, and eat dinner on River in Ayutthaya
June 16, Bangkok—Ancient City, go to Royal Summer Palace Near Ayutthaya, visit Ayutthaya Historical Center, and ancient capital city of Ayutthaya.
June 17, Arrive in Chiang Mai, city tour, Wat Doi Suthep, Siam Gifts, and Kon Tok dinner
June 18, Wat and City Day, tour the following temples: Cheddi Luang, Phra Singh, Umong, and Suan Dok with Professor of Buddhism, basketball game
June 19, Elephant and Raft Trip, Queen's Garden
June 20, Tribal museum and shopping, Tribal Research Center and lectures on Thailand and Hilltribe societies, basketball game
June 21, 125-mile trip to village—meet the children of the Hilltribe Resources and Development Center
June 22, Village stay, visit remote Karen tribal villages
June 23, Village stay, visit remote Karen tribal village
June 24, Village stay, visit remote Karen tribal villages
June 25, Village stay, visit remote Karen tribal villages
June 26, Return to Chiang Mai from the village and take night train to Bangkok
June 27, Pattaya Beach, optional cabaret show at night farewell dinner.
June 28, Go to Koh Lang (private island), parasailing, water skiing, snorkeling, etc. Return to Bangkok.
June 29, Take flight to USA at 9 a.m. on June 29 and return on same day. (We gain back the day we lost due to International Date line)
