About the Program
Carleton is the highest-ranked school in America that offers a full 10-game schedule and is eligible for the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs. The Knights have 57 winning seasons and more than 440 victories in the history of the program.
In 2008, the Knights posted a 7-3 mark, equaling the program’s second-highest win total over the previous 50 seasons. They played for the MIAC title and earned their first national ranking in 15 years.
In the first three seasons since the new coaching regime took over in 2006, Carleton has established school records for passing, rushing, receiving, forced turnovers, sacks and tackling. In this time the program also can boast of being nationally ranked, posting wins over ranked opponents, and finishing in the top 26 in Division III in home attendance. Additionally, Carleton has had an All-American on both offense and defense.
