September 26, 2013 at 11:49 am

For the first time since 2007, the Men's Cross Country team is ranked in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Coaches Poll. After taking third place at the St. Olaf Invitational last weekend, the Knights appeared at 29 in the national poll. In addition, the team jumped to 2nd from 6th in the regional ranking after the strong performance last weekend. The regional ranking shows a strong improvement from their initial preseason regional ranking of 10th.

For head coach Dave Ricks, it marks the first time the team has been ranked since his first year at Carleton in 2007.

The team is inactive this weekend but will be back in action on October 4th at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Open.
