COLFAX, Wis. -- The Carleton College men's cross country team finished ninth out of 22 teams competing at the Blugold Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Sophomore Marcus Huderle (So./Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) paced the Knights as he finished 10th overall--ninth in team competition--with a time of 25:42.0.
A total of 372 runners traversed the 8K course at White Tail Golf Course.
Jacob Hoerger (So./Chapel Hill, N.C.) was next across the line for Carleton, finishing 57th at 26:32.3 followed by Bobby Davis (Jr./Eden Prairie, Minn.) at 26:44.2. Noah Laack-Veeder (Fy./Madison, Wis./LaFollete) and senior Kian Flynn (Otis, Ore./Taft) rounded out the scoring for the Knights.
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse won the team competition with 49 points followed by St. Olaf (79) and UW-Stout (102). The Knights concluded the day with 258 points overall.
Carleton races again on Friday, Oct. 15 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational in West Salem, Wis.
