Becker, Minn. -- Alec Friedhof fired a final round 78 to lead Carleton at the St. John's Invitational. The event, a 36-hole marathon on one day, featured some of the top teams in the region.
Friedhof fired a first-round 84 in the morning and finished in a tie for 44th at 162. The rest of the Knights struggled, as Asad Dhawar shot a 178, Ryan Deisler a 183 and Nate Larsen a 186.
Host St. John's tied for top team honors with St. Cloud State at 605. Carleton ended with a team total of 709.
The Knights conclude the 2003-04 season at St. Olaf's Tim Cashin Memorial Tournament on April 29-30.
