Sauk Centre, Minn. -- Jorde Ranum (So./Spring Lake Park, Minn.) had his career best 18 and 36 hole scores and matched Aaron Buckley (Jr./San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) for the Knights low-score for the weekend. The Knights finished 21st overall.
The opening round was played at Blackberry Ridge. Ranum struck the ball excellently all day and shot a 77, which was one stroke better than his previous low with the Knights. Buckley rebounded from a quadruple bogey on his second hole to shoot a seven over par 79. The Knights finished with a team score of 332.
The round at Greystone Golf Club was more of a struggle for the Knights. Buckley paced the Knights with an 82. He and Ranum both finished with 36 hole scores of 161, which was Ranum's best 36 hole score by six strokes.
The Knights have a dual meet against St. Olaf on Sunday at Northfield Golf Club.
