HAM LAKE, Minn. -- Ned Rohrbach (So./Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) carded a 10-over par 154 to tie for 15th place at the Augsburg Fall Invitational as the Carleton College men’s golf team placed 12th out of 16 squads.
Rohrbach fired a 78 in the opening round and tallied a 76 on Sunday. The final round would have been even better without a triple-bogey on the 17th hole that cost him a top-10 finish.
Coming into the tournament with only one practice round, the summer rust showed as no one else in the lineup broke 80 over the two days. Aaron Buckley (Sr./San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) managed an 82 and 80, highlighted by an eagle on the first hole.
Jeff Berg (Sr./Wood Dale, Ill./Wheaton Academy) and Brian Herlihy (So./Danbury, Conn./Immaculate High School) rounded out the scoring for the Knights.
Following an intense week of practice, the Knights will tee it up at the Saint John's Invitational on Sept. 14-15 against many of the top rated teams in the area.
