CHASKA, Minn. – The Carleton College men's golf team came in seventh out of twelve teams at the Macalaster invitational. Aaron Buckley (So. /San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) led the Knights with 11 over par for the tournament, putting him in a tie for seventh with his 36-hole total of 155.

The tournament consisted of two rounds of 18 holes. Saturday was held at the Chaska town course and Sunday at the Dahlgreen Golf Club, both in Chaska, Minn. The Knights finished the weekend with a two-day total 665.

Buckley improved over the two days carding seven over par on Saturday and just four over par on Sunday.

Both Brian Gilmore (Sr./Edina, Minn./Edina) and Turner Wadington (Sr./St. Charles, Ill./ Elgin Academy) aided the Knights overall. Gilmore finished with a two-day total 169, just one point lower than Wadington's 170.

The Knights will tee off again on Saturday, October 3 for the MIAC Championship. The three day even will be held at the Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn. Last year the team finished seventh at this event, the second best finish ever for Carleton in the MIAC.
