MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Carleton College men’s soccer team (3-3-1, 2-0 MIAC) remains undefeated in conference action after defeating Concordia College-Moorhead, 2-1, on Saturday. Senior midfielder Ryan Cammarota (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) assisted on first-half goals by Miles Silbert (Sr./St.Louis Park Minn./St. Louis Park) and rookie Nathan Park (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South).
In the 17th minute Cammarota sent in a cross that Park finished off the score from close range, shooting over the Cobber goalkeeper.
Barely ten minutes later, Cammarota created another scoring chance. He dribbled past the goalie, and then laid the ball off to Silbert for another easy goal from inside the six-yard box.
The Cobbers fought back to score a goal minutes before the end of the first half. Bobby Spoja’s shot from 30 yards out found the top left corner.
Neither team scored in the second half, though SIlbert came close to tallying his second of the day. His shot in the 80th minute bounced off the post and was eventually cleared.
