The Knights are one of the strongest programs in the MIAC, finishing second in the conference in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 while ranking among the top 15 teams in the Central Region each of the past six seasons. The Knights have two NCAA Championships appearances (1985, 2004) and matched the school record with 21 victories in 2008. The Carleton tennis team has also enjoyed success in the classroom, being named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team each of the past six seasons.
