NEW ORLEANS – The Carleton College men’s track and field team recorded a 3.29 cumulative grade point average for the 2013 season. The Knights’ GPA ranked tied for 27th in the nation and the squad was one of 80 programs that were recognized as an All-Academic team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). For the last five years, the Knights have posted one of the top-30 grade point averages. (SEE BELOW)
To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award, squads need to post at least a 3.10 cumulative GPA. The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference saw seven of its institutions reaching men’s All-Academic status: Carleton College, Concordia College, Macalester College, Saint John’s University, Saint Mary’s University, St. Olaf College, and University of St. Thomas.
