ST. PETER, Minn. – The Carleton College men’s track and field team had competitors at two meets on Saturday. Marcus Huderle (Jr./Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) was the second Division III finisher and placed 17th overall in the steeplechase at the Drake Relays, while the Knights' sprinters and throwers also took part in the Drake Alternative hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.
In Des Moines, Huderle posted a time of 9:29.91 and was one of three Division III racers in the 23-runner field.
At the Gustavus Drake Alternative, Carleton’s top finish came in the 4x100-meter relay with the Knights finishing fourth and posting a season-best time of 43.82.
Garo Anguiano-Sainz (So./Chico, Calif./Chico) and Evan McNeil (So./Burnsville, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) recorded personal bests in the 100-meter dash, posting times of 11.355 and 11.356, respectively. Both also notched season bests in the 200-meter dash. Colby Seyferth (So./Banks, Ore./Banks) finished fifth in the longer event with a time of 22.32.
Next up for the Knights is the Rolex Classic, the annual dual meet against St. Olaf College on April 30.
