COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Carleton College men’s track and field team sent a small contingent to compete at the CSB/SJU Invitational, the first outdoor meet of 2012. Marcus Huderle (So./Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) captured top honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:29.47.
Brian Spisiak (Jr./Elmhurst, Ill./York) and Chas Karch (Jr./Madison, Wis./West) finished fifth and sixth in the same race, with the later posting a big PR in the event.
Bobby Davis (Jr./Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) placed third in the 10,000-meter run at 32:46.15.
Noah Laack-Veeder (Fy./Madison, Wis./LaFollette) was Carleton’s lone point scorer in the 1,500-meter run. He finished second out of 29 racers with a time of 4:01.90.
Twin brother Thor Laack-Veeder (Fy./Madison, Wis./LaFollette) placed ninth in the 800-meter run at 2:00.46.
The Knights will host the Carleton Alumni Open on Thursday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m.
