COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- Two members of the Carleton track and field team competed at the Saint John’s Invitational on Saturday. Chris Marshall (Jr./Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) was fifth in the 5,000-meter run. Teammate Tom Brenner (Sr./Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) finished 10th in the same event.
With temperatures in the low 30s, Marshall finished with a time of 16:12.11. Brenner ran in the same heat and crossed the line at 16:25.04. Both racers posted new personal-best times.
The full Knights squad is expected to compete at the Hamline Invitational next Saturday, April 4 in St. Paul. Field events get underway at 10 a.m. with track competition schedule for 11:30 a.m.
