Softball vs. McDaniel College

Knights’ bats held in check in loss to McDaniel

CLERMONT, Fla. — For the second straight day Keelin Davis (So./Woodinville, Wash./Woodinville) pitched effectively for the Carleton College softball team, and for the second time in as many games she absorbed a tough setback, this one a 4-0 result against McDaniel College.

The sophomore yielded just one earned run over the full 7.0 innings, but she got no run support once again as the Knights were limited to just three hits and went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.

McDaniel finally solved Davis for a run with a RBI groundout in the fourth inning. The Green Terror tacked on three unearned tallies in the seventh.

Jenny Ramey (Sr./Cottage Grove, Minn./New Life Academy), Kaitlin Bagley (Sr./Duluth, Minn./Denfeld), and Katrina Harper (Sr./Columbia Heights, Minn./Columbia Heights) had the hits for Carleton and each also drew a walk.

Carleton (1-6) looks to snap its Sunshine State slide when the Knights battle Williams College and No. 16 Carthage College on Saturday, March 22
