NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Knights hosted the University of Minnesota for the only home synchronized swimming event of the season. Elise Cordo (Sr./Wayzata, Minn.) won the Division A figures and Charlotte Alster (Fy./Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills High School) won the solo competition to help Carleton notched the 94-91 victory.
Liza Styles (Jr./Amherst, Mass./Pioneer Valley Performing Arts) added top honors in the Division D Figures, with a score of 55.552.
Cordo scored 72.503 to claim the Division A Figures crown. Alster’s victory was a nail biter. She scored 70.00 edging out her University of Minnesota competitor by .223 points.
Dara Strauss-Albee (Sr./Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata), Alster, and Stephanie Moberg (Jr./Scottsdale, Ariz./North Canyon) nearly won the trios event finishing .667 points short of victory.
The synchronized swimming team returns to action on March 7th at the Collegiate Regional Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
