After winning their previous six consecutive matches, the Carleton College volleyball team battled but came up short in their conference opener against Hamline University, dropping an evenly played four-set match (25-23, 29-27, 21-25, 25-20) at Hutton Arena Wednesday evening.

Junior Camille Benson continued her hot streak at last weekend's ACM Tournament with 75 digs and 15 services aces in the four wins. She picked up her second-straight MIAC Volleyball Setter/Libero-of-the-Week award.

The Carleton College volleyball team closed out play at the ACM Volleyball Invitational in style, earning a pair of wins Sunday morning over Knox College (Ill.) and tournament host Grinnell College. Carleton dropped Knox in four sets, 25-9, 25-12, 23-25, 25-12, before defeating Grinnell in the team’s final match of the weekend, 25-17, 25-16, 25-18. With the two wins Sunday, Carleton has now won 10 out of its last 11 matches and was the only team to complete the ACM tournament with a perfect 4-0 record this weekend.

The Carleton College volleyball team grabbed two wins on the opening day of the ACM Volleyball Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Carleton opened play with a three-set sweep over Lake Forest College (Ill.), 25-16, 25-16, 25-12, before ending the day with a four-set victory over Luther College (Iowa) in the nightcap, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-17

After acquiring a second All-Tournament team selection in as many weeks, Carleton junior Camille Benson was named as a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Athlete-of-the-Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Building off of the momentum gained from a win in their final match Friday evening, the Carleton College volleyball team added another victory on Saturday, as the Knights closed out the Macalester Invitational with a three-set sweep of Beloit College, 25-19, 25-13, 25-17. Saturday’s win, coupled with a triumph against Minnesota-Morris on Friday, allowed the team to finish the weekend with a 2-1 record during the two-day event. Camille Benson was named to the five-person All-Tournament team following the conclusion of the event. The event marks the second consecutive year that Benson, who also earned All-Tournament honors last weekend at the St. Olaf Invite, was named to the All-Tournament team at the Macalester Invite.
