Senior Annie Eckhoff (Northfield, Minn.) had seven kills and a career-best 10 blocks assists for the Knights (13-10, 3-7 MIAC), who were eliminated from playoff contention. Augsburg prevailed by scores of 25-22, 25-10, 19-25 and 25-12.

Eckhoff was hardly the lone Knight playing defense at the net as the team totaled 14.5 blocks in the match. Her total is tied for the fourth-best figure over the last 10 seasons. (SEE BELOW)

Trailing by four points midway through the third set, Carleton got back on track, closing the set on a 16-6 run thanks in part to four blocks. Amanda Unze tallied four of her match-best 13 kills during a 7-0 Augsburg burst early in the fourth set. The Knights were never able to recover.

Kelly Lovett (Jr./Portland, Ore./Lincoln) paced the Knights with nine kills. Beth Jarrett (Jr./Mounds View, Minn./Irondale) handed out 23 assists. Senior libero Laura Barsness (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) totaled a match-best 16 digs.
