ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The Carleton women’s basketball team (11-14, 10-12 MIAC) concluded its season with an 89-58 road loss to Bethel University. Megan Erlundson (Fy./Minneapolis/Minnehaha Academy) and Annie Eckhoff (Jr./Northfield, Minn.) contributed 10 points apiece off the bench for the Knights.
This marked the final game in the collegiate career of four Carleton seniors: Hannah Oken-Berg (Portland, Ore./Lincoln), Sarah Lincoln (Rockford, Minn.), Annie Isler (Hopkins,Minn.) and Sarah Kunelius (Eagan, Minn.). While this season didn’t finish as hoped,as a group, the seniors have helped Carleton secure a trio of MIAC Playoff berths and a trip to the 2008 NCAA Championships.Carleton led 11-7 six minutes into the contest, but Bethel, despite getting only three minutes from Annegret Nautsch, recovered and built a 13-point advantage by halftime.
The Knights scored the first bucket of the second half, and the Royals (14-11, 13-9 MIAC) immediately responded with a 12-0 burst to erase any doubt about the outcome.
With a 12-point, eight-rebound performance today, Oken-Berg capped her four seasons at Carleton. She is a three-time All-MIAC performer and obliterated the career block record, rejecting 181 shots, more than 100 above the previous mark. She will finish her career fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,453 points and fifth in rebounding with 678 boards.
Isler is only the second player in Carleton women's basketball history with 200+ steals and 300+ assists, totaling 219 takeaways and 313 setups. She made 346 free throws ranking second all-time at Carleton.
With a pair of triples today, Kunelius accumulated 119 career 3-pointers, second all-time at Carleton behind Megan Vig (127). She obliterated the single-season record for best 3-point percentage with a mark of 47.4% (36-of-76) in 2005-06.
Lincoln, an all-around threat on both ends of the floor is a two-time All-MIAC player. She ranks fourth in career blocked shots at 77 and finished with 922 career points.
