    Knights Race to Third Place Result at Opening Meet of 2015

    En route back to Northfield following a week of training in Wyoming and Idaho, the Carleton College women’s cross country team stopped in eastern South Dakota to participate in the Augustana Twilight Meet. Carleton finished third in the team competition, and once again it was All-American Ruth Steinke leading the way. The senior clocked a time of 17:02 on the three-mile course, placing fifth out of 211 racers.

    Men's & Women's Cross Country Season Preview

    The 2015 cross country season should be another exciting one for the Carleton College men and women. Both squads enter the year ranked No. 14 in the USTFCCCA's preseason national poll. The starting gun goes off for the first time this season on Friday at the Augustana twilight.

    ‘C’ Club Hall of Fame Welcomes Four New Members for 2015

    In conjunction with Carleton College’s Alumni Reunion activities this past weekend, four new members were welcomed into the 'C' Club Hall of Fame during the 40th annual induction ceremony. The 2015 inductees include football player and men’s golfer Mike Barnes ’75, nordic skier and distance runner Brigette (Breuer) Ketterson ’85, men’s cross country and track All-American Dan Bucy ’05, and volleyball and women’s basketball star Beth (Freeman) Moncrief ’05.

    KNights Earn 22nd Straight USTFCCCA All-Academic Award

    For a staggering 22nd year in a row, the Carleton College women’s cross country team earned recognition from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic team.

    Knights Receive 38 Academic All-Conference Honors

    Two of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (MIAC) four core values are Quality Athletics and Academics and, Thursday, the conference celebrated those tenets with the announcement of the 2014 Fall Academic All-Conference team. The Knights had 38 athletes across 6 different sports receive this honor.

    Ruth Steinke 4th, Knights 14th at NCAA Championships

    Ruth Steinke capped her spectacular junior season with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. That result propelled the Carleton College women’s team to 14th out of the 32 teams competing at the national meet. This was Carleton’s ninth trip to the NCAA Championships since 2004.
