WAVERLY, Iowa—Grace Gilmore (So./Edina, Minn.) fired a career-low four-over par 76 and Shannon Holden (Fy./Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) broke 80 for the second time in three tries in her young career as No. 25 Carleton College finds itself three shots back of first place at the Wartburg Invitational.

The Knights (325) trail tourney leader and No. 22 St. Thomas (322) entering tomorrow’s final round. Host Wartburg and UW-Stout are tied for second at 324, followed by Carleton and NAIA school Grandview College (Iowa).

Gilmore, who only broke 80 once in her rookie season, has now done so in two of the first three rounds of her sophomore campaign. She sits third, two shots back of first place, while Holden is T7th.

Kelsey Moede (Jr./Lake Oswego, Ore.) posted an 83 a week after finishing runner-up at the Georgianni Memorial Invite. Mara Daly (So./St. Louis Park, Minn.) rebounded on the back nine and posted an 88 while Kate DeMeulenaere (Fy./Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) added an 89 while Maggie Corso (Fy./Palos Park, Ill./Providence Catholic) posted a 90 playing as an individual.

The final round begins Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The Knights are off at 8:45 a.m.
