EAU CLAIRE, Wis.--Kelsey Moede (So./Lake Oswego, Ore.) fired her fourth straight round in the 70s, dating back to last season, with a six-over par 78 to lead No. 18 Carleton to a 334 team score at the Georgianni Memorial.
The Knights are in seventh place, but only four shots back of the top four. Gustavus Adolphus leads the event at 324, followed by St. Benedict (327), host UW-Eau Clarie (328), St. Olaf (330), Washington University, Mo. (331) and the Gusties' second team (332).
Gina Kabasakalis (So./Alameda, Calif./College Prep) added an 83, while Grace Gilmore (Fy./Edina, Minn.) fired an 86 in her collegiate debut. Taylor Wells (So./Rochester, Minn./Century) rounded out Carleton's scoring with an 87.
"It was great to see Kelsey come out and pick up right where she left off last spring," Carleton head coach Eric Sieger said. "Grace posted a solid score in her debut, but I think we're hopeful we can play a bit better tomorrow."
The Knights are off at 8 a.m. for Sunday's final round.
