For the first time in nine spring-break trips, the Knights were rained out in their attempt to play one of Arizona's top courses, We-Ko-Pa. At least the brownies from Coach Eric Sieger's mom salvaged an otherwise forgettable day!

The Knights kicked off the 2010-11 season with a new twist, holding a father-daughter 18-hole, best-ball event at their home course, Northfield Golf Club. The winning player, Meghan Gajare '11, who teamed with her stand-in dad Reid Hansen '72, writes about the experience in the latest blog post.

Rising junior Traci Johnson takes a turn at the wheel of the Carleton women's golf team blog to tell about her summer research position at Carleton and gives us a sneak peak at a potential senior capstone thesis subject. And while she doesn't mention it, Traci also found time to win the Northfield Golf Club Championship for the third straight year!

Carleton's fourth consecutive spring-break trip to the southeast United States has come to an end, but not before a visit to the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass and a little beach time before heading back to Minnesota.

Junior captain Laura Knutson describes the Knights' experience of playing at Sea Island's Seaside course, which will host a PGA Tour event this fall, hosted by Davis Love III, who lives on St. Simons Island.

While it rained on the Knights on day two in Jekyll Island, the team was still able to play 18 holes. We also hear about the Knights fancy meal preparation and about their upcoming trip to famed Sea Island Golf Club.

The Knights kicked off their fourth consecutive trip to Jekyll Island, Ga., with their first round of the 2010 calendar year. Hitting off grass for the first time in nearly four months, the Knights did their best to shake the rust off and get ready for the Jekyll Island Collegiate.

Coming off a rock-solid season-opening performance, the question posed to the Knights was this: was it a season highlight or a stepping stone to something greater? The Knights responded loudly with the best performance in program history by sharing third place at the Wartburg Invitational and setting two school records in the process.

The first tournament is in the books, and it was a very solid weekend for the Knights at the Doug Georgianni Memorial, as they finished fifth and ahead of three nationally-ranked teams.
