Knights Continue Climb Up Regional Rankings

November 3, 2009 at 2:44 pm

KANSAS CITY, Kan.—In the most recent NSCAA regional rankings the Carleton women’s soccer team (9-5-4, 6-2-3 MIAC) moved up another spot to No. 7. This is the third straight week that the Knights have advanced at least one spot in the poll. Last week the Knights took care of both Saint Catherine University (3-1) and St. Olaf College (2-1). The win over St. Olaf clinched the Knight’s second consecutive MIAC playoff berth.

Other MIAC schools in the regional rankings are Concordia College (No. 1), Macalester College (No. 3), University of St. Thomas (No. 4), and St. Olaf College (No. 9).

The Knights look to defend their MIAC championship against nationally ranked No. 7 Concordia today at 2 p.m. in Moorhead.
