Ulbricht Tallies Equalizer, Knights Draw Against Stevens Point, 1-1

By Andrew Harvey '15

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Despite surrendering an early goal, the Carleton College women’s soccer team earned a 1-1 draw at University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point when Bailey Ulbricht (Jr./Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) tallied the equalizer in the second half

Stevens Point (0-4-2) got on the scoreboard in the 14th minute, when Emily Dietrich finished a through ball into the lower-right corner of the net.

Ulbricht’s equalizer came in the 56th minute, when she took a pass from Amanda d’Almeida (Fy./Coupeville, Wash./Coupeville) and shot it across the goal into the right side of the net.

With under a minute to go in extra time, Alexandra Guy (Jr./Denver, Colo./Denver School of the Arts) sent a shot towards the net, but it was stopped by the Stevens Point keeper, and the score held.

Mikayla Coulombe (So./Crystal, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) registered three saves for Carleton, which opens conference play at Gustavus Adolphus College on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 4:00 p.m.
