Lamb, Hansen, Taube, and Beson Award Winners Announced for 2012-13
In conjunction with Carleton’s annual Honors Convocation, the Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation (P.E.A.R.) Department announced its annual senior awards. Sophie Pilhofer and Jessa Youso received the Pat Lamb Award. Megan Morrison and Sarah Nielsen are the recipients of the Ele Hansen Award. CJ Dale was honored with the Mel Taube Award, while Erik Klontz was given the Warren L. Beson Memorial Award.

Pilhofer Concludes Competition at NCAA Championships
Sophie Pilhofer saw the curtain come down on her collegiate swimming career as she placed 18th in the 100-yard freestyle on the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships. Pilhofer turned in a time of 51.74, missing a spot in the consolation final by 0.11 second.

Pilhofer Competes in 100 Butterfly on Day Two at NCAA Championships
Although she did not qualifiy for the finals in the 100-ayrd butterfly, senior Sophie Pilhofer still had a successful second day at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships as she established a new personal record when she touched the wall at 58.00.

Pilhofer Takes Third in 50 Free at NCAA Championships, Earns All-America Status
Carleton College senior Sophie Pilhofer became the 15th member of the women’s swimming and diving program to earn All-America status, and the ninth to do so in an individual event when she grabbed third place in the finals of the 50-yard freestyle at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

NCAA D-III Swimming & Diving Championshps Info
The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships will be held March 20-23 at the Conroe ISD Natatorium, Shenandoah, Texas. The Knights have five swimmers participating. Each day includes the preliminary round beginning at 10 a.m. with the top 16 advancing to the evening finals, which get underway at 6 p.m. Live video of each session of the championships is being provided on NCAA.com. Live Results are being posted on CollegeSwimming.com

Knights Finish Fifth at MIAC Championships
Sophie Pilhofer posted a NCAA “B” cut time and placed second in the 100-yard freestyle on the final day of action at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The Carleton College women finished fifth in the team competition.
