Rookies Kathryn Schmidt (Hopkins, Minn.) and Erin Gudul (North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View) earned All-MIAC honors in both singles and doubles. Frances Leung (Jr./Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) was awarded All-MIAC for the third straight year in singles and for the second time in doubles.
Schmidt stepped in immediately and played first singles for the Knights. She went 10-0 in conference play and joined Sierra Krebsbach of Gustavus as the only undefeated first singles players in the MIAC, although Schmidt led Kresbsbach when their head-to-head matchup was called due to darkness.
Schmidt did not lose a MIAC match at first doubles either. The team of Schmidt and Gudul were the only undefeated first doubles pair in the MIAC going 11-0 in conference play. Gudul played second singles the entire season and finished with an 8-3 record in conference play.
Frances Leung compiled a conference record of 8-3 in both third singles and second doubles. Leung played with three different doubles partners throughout the year: Hannah Goldberg (Jr./North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View), Devin Daugherty (So./Eugene, Ore./South Eugene) and Linnea Carlson (Fy./Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township). She finished with a winning conference record with each of them. Leung also secured All-MIAC honors for her doubles play during the 2007 season.
