The Knights have enjoyed a great deal of success over the years, including national top 10 rankings in 1995 and 1996 and a team regional ranking for the past five seasons. Carleton has finished in the top three of the MIAC standings 15 times since joining the conference in 1983 and qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2004-2005. The Knights have gone to the NCAA Championships three times in the history of the program.
