LINCOLN, Neb. — A record-breaking indoor season for the Carleton College women’s indoor track and field team continue this week as six members of the squad have the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Championships on March 14-15. This year’s national meet is being hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan.
Following her outstanding performance at the conference meet, Amelia Campbell (So./Sturgeon Bay, Wis./Sturgeon Bay) will be the top seed in Friday’s pentathlon. Kao Sutton (Sr./Hilo, Hawaii/Kamehameha Schools Hawaii) is seeded eighth in the shot put. The prelims of that event start at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Colette Celichowski (Jr./Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka) and Ellie Wilson (Jr./Roseville, Minn./Roseville) will be busy. The duo will run the mile and 400-meter dash, respectively. Prelims for both races will be held Friday afternoon with the finals contested Saturday afternoon. Additionally, they will conclude Friday’s action by encompassing half of Carleton’s entry in the distance medley relay. Ruth Steinke (So./Lima, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and Emma Grisanzio (Fy./Carol Stream, Ill./Wheaton North) will round out that quartet.
