There are many opportunities for Carleton students to work for the Summer Academic Programs office during winter and spring terms as well as over the summer. Please feel free to read the different job positions we offer to currently enrolled Carleton students during the winter, spring and summer of 2008.

SUMMER ACADEMIC PROGRAMS OFFICE:

Program Assistant
Part-Time: Winter and/or Spring Term
Full-Time: June 10-August 19, 2008

Are you looking for variety in a student work position…ON-CAMPUS??

The office of Summer Academic Programs is currently accepting applications for winter and spring term work as well as for summer work for the position of Program Assistant. Interested students should be available to work winter and/or spring term as well as the summer (until August 19, 2008).

Each student that is hired will be responsible for aiding the Director in planning of one program and will assist in the other two programs. People who are willing to start in winter term will be responsible for the Summer Teaching Institute, and the students hired for spring term will be working with the Summer Writing Program and CHUO.

SUMMER WRITING PROGRAM:

Full-Time: July 5-25, 2008

Do you enjoy working with young people? Join the Summer Writing Program team as a Dormitory Counselor or Rhetoric Assistant.

Dormitory Counselors (current sophomores, juniors, and seniors) are needed to provide supervision, support program participants in their academic experience, and organize daily activities.

Rhetoric Assistants (current juniors and seniors) are needed to work closely with students and faculty in an informal academic setting. Applicants must be enthusiastic students of literature and excellent writers.

Each position pays a three-week stipend. Employment dates are July 5-25, 2008
