A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available to students applying to the Summer Writing Program.  Scholarships are based on academic merit, financial obligations and college potential; scholarships will apply to overall tuition, room, and board expenses.

The comprehensive fee of $2,595 includes:

• Tuition
• All books and class supplies
• Six Carleton credit hours (equivalent to three semester hours)
• Room and board (all meals)
• Activities and excursions
• Flash Drive

*All transcripts must be received in our office by this date as well.*

You can complete the scholarship application online and there will be an option on the second page of the application that allows you to apply for a scholarship.  There will be some supplemental information we request when applying for the scholarship to aid the selection committee in their decisions.   There will also be a section where we ask you to provide information for three references that will receive an e-mail requesting them to complete a short, online recommendation form. 

**PLEASE PLAN AHEAD IF YOU ARE ON SPRING BREAK AROUND THIS TIME, AS THE RECOMMENDATIONS HAVE TO BE COMPLETED BY MARCH 26.  YOU SHOULD NOTIFY YOUR REFERENCES THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE!**

Your references should be teachers, principals, counselors or other educational professionals that can write about your academic abilities.  You will also have to send either official or unofficial transcripts to our office (if you did not attach them to your application); you can send transcripts to our office in one of three ways:
