Northfield Community

Periodic or Weekly Commitment

The Northfield Community Action Center is committed to ending hunger in Northfield and work toward that goal every day. The CAC Food Shelf programs distribute over 20,000 pounds of food a month to an average of 300 households, representing about 775 people that live in the Northfield School District. Almost half of these individuals are children and 20% are senior citizens. Carleton student volunteers are needed to help sort, shelve and distribute food. Volunteers visit the Food Shelf Tuesdays 12:30 - 2:00, Wednesdays 9:00 - 12:00, and Thursdays 12:00 - 5:00. Please contact one of the Carleton Program Directors listed above for more information.
