Into the Streets will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2008 as part of the New Student Week schedule for incoming students at Carleton. About 500 new students, their New Student Week leaders,the ACT Center student staff, and Campus Activities staff will start the day with a panel discussion of community leaders as an introduction to Northfield. Then, following a picnic lunch, they will spend the afternoon in Carleton's Cowling Arboretum removing buckthorn. Click on the links to the right to read about buckthorn, an invasive noxious weed.
