Purpose of Position:

The Student Coordinator (SC) position is an exciting leadership opportunity for students to share their passion for service and community engagement. Student Coordinators work as leaders in the ACT Center for 10 hours a week and are responsible for making ACT an innovative, vibrant center. SCs support ACT volunteer Program Directors who, in turn, coordinate volunteer programs. SCs also attend and facilitate weekly staff meetings, maintain weekly ACT Center hours, participate in ACT-sponsored events, and help with tasks such as answering phone calls, assisting walk-in volunteers, and matching new volunteers with service programs. SCs also assist with Program Director Training and work with other ACT staff and volunteers to plan special events.
