After School Tutoring @ Northfield High School with TORCH

The ACT Youth Tutoring Program is looking for student volunteers who, beginning winter term, would like to spend after school time (3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.) at Northfield High School giving TORCH students extra help in the subjects of Math, Chemistry, and/or English. TORCH stands for “Tackling Obstacles and Raising College Hopes” and supports students from traditionally marginalized backgrounds.

Carleton tutors will be going to NHS twice a week (possibly Mondays and Thursdays), so volunteers can opt to tutor on one or both days, as they are able. This is a fantastic opportunity to interact with high school students in a group setting and with other Carleton volunteers!

If you are interested e-mail either Borr Vang (vangb) or Emily Steidel (steidele). Please let us know which days you are available to tutor and whether or not you are a campus driver.
