About the Media Archive Project

The Carleton College Media Archive project is an initiative to digitize and publish audio and video materials from the College Archives. These materials include recordings of convocations, lectures, news broadcasts, symposiums, interviews, commencement addresses, and more.

Most materials in the Media Archive are currently audio. The College has prioritized digitization of the most fragile items first, which happen to be magnetic audiotape. Over time more video will be added to the collection.
