Second Language Writing Support

The mission of the Second Language Writing program is to provide writing support and guidance to Carleton's second- language students, and to help them develop as independent writers and thinkers. Students who identify themselves as non-native speakers of English may work one-on-one with a trained and experienced writing tutor who will be available to provide writing support for one to three hours per week. Second-language writing tutors work as facilitators, collaborating with writers at any stage of the writing process, and provide feedback on language form and content.

Students
If you are a second-language writer and believe you might benefit from working individually with a writing tutor, email Renata Fitzpatrick, Second-Language Writing Coordinator, call her at x5998, or stop by her office in 201 Scoville.

Faculty
If you have students who might benefit from working individually with a writing tutor, learn more about how you can refer a student to the Second Language Writing program online.
