Files

Moodle allows you to upload files from your computer. Later, you can link to a single file or display a directory of many files.

Click here to view the accompanying video tutorial for this topic.

Uploading Files

In the Administration sidebar on the left side of the main page, open the link to "Files." If you have uploaded files before, you will see them here.

To upload a new file, click "Upload a file", in the bottom right corner. Hit the "Browse..." button, and locate the file on your computer. Then click "Upload this file."

When you get back to the files page, you will see your uploaded file (in its alphabetic place).

Creating Folders

To organize your files, it's probably a good idea to sort them into folders. To create a new folder, click "Make a folder", on the bottom left. Give your folder a name, and click "Create."

Then, to move files into your new folder, select them in the main folder, and in the drop down menu below the list of files, click "Move to another folder." Open your new folder, and click "Move files to here." You can also upload files directly into the new folder, by clicking "Upload a file" inside the folder.
