Composing a Web Page
If you want to make web pages but you don't know where to start, you should probably use the Web Pages resource. Unlike Text Pages, Web Pages do not require that you know any HTML or CSS. When you use it, you will be making a web page that will be linked from the weekly calendar.

Creating a Web Page
To create a web page, turn editing on, and select "Compose a Web Page" from the "Add a Resource..." menu.
General
Give your web page a descriptive name, and a summary. Don't be fooled by the paragraph-sized window where the summary goes. It's best to have a brief summary, because it will actually appear right next to the link to your web page in the weekly schedule. Any actual content should go on the web page itself.
Compose a Web Page
This is where all the content of your web page goes. Notice that there are many options for text formatting. If you move your mouse over each button in the text editor, it will tell you what that button does. Have fun. Make big section titles. Consider adding pictures (the symbol for adding an image looks like a framed painting). If you want to add links, highlight the text that you want to make into a link and click on the chain symbol ("Insert Web Link").
A cool feature: if you want to put a different website (in its entirety) on your Web Page, simply go the the website, highlight the entire thing, copy it, and paste it into the Compose a Web Page box. It will show up correctly.
Window
This sets whether your web page opens in the same browser window, or opens a new one.
Common Module Settings
To let your students see the link to your web page, set Visible to "Show." If you're still editing your page, set this to "Hide" until you are done.
