Health Insurance:
Carleton College requires that all students be covered by a health insurance plan. The student may continue their family coverage, or the student can purchase health insurance through Carleton College. The College will be working with Specialty Risk Group for the 2008-2009 academic year. Specialty Risk Group offers an accident and sickness plan tailored to meet the needs of the students. Students can purchase this coverage at the group rate of $614.00/12 month period.
Please compare the coverage offered by the provider with the students family coverage, keep in mind out of state HMO/PPO issues possible,study abroad, general policy limits, and coverage.
If at any time the student/parent wishes to discuss the insurance program provided by Specialty Risk Group, please feel free to contact a representative from the company. The student/parent may also contact The Wellness Center for information regarding health insurance (The Wellness Center is closed the month of July).

Tuition Insurance
Students will receive under a separate cover in July an offer from A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. called Tuition Refund Plan, this plan provides insurance for tuition and fee refunds.
