Carleton College

Campus Activities Office

Welcome to the Campus Activities website! We hope you'll find our site helpful to you as a Carleton student, organization leader, faculty/staff member, alumni/ae, or guest.

The department is here to engage and support students in a variety of capacities. We hope that you'll find our offices welcoming, comfortable, and informative. From the updated and renovated office suite in Sayles-Hill 160 to the new Upper Sayles, you'll find a friendly and resourceful staff of students and professionals ready and available to meet your needs. The other services available in Sayles, ranging from the Bookstore to the Post Office, the Snack Bar to meeting spaces, complement our operations and provide additional connections for students.

We play an integral role in supporting and carrying forth the educational mission of the College, providing programs which build a sense of community, and services to enhance the quality of life for Carleton students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests, with particular emphasis, of course, on students. The department is one which fosters an environment that promotes respect for all peoples and values diversity, leadership development, student activism and support, civic engagement and the free exchange of ideas.

Stop by anytime you're "in the neighborhood" and let us connect you to an exciting world of vibrant opportunities and excellent service. We'd love to visit with you!

Campus Activities does a little bit of everything--from planning programs and events, to serving as a resource to student organizations. If you have an idea for a student organization or an event, stop by and find out how we can help you!

CHANGES TO STUDENT TRANSPORTATION

In an effort to better serve students and to more centrally locate transportation duties at Carleton, responsibilities for operating student transportation programs have transitioned from the Campus Activities Office to the Campus Services Office. These programs include the LOCAL Bus (previously known as the Co-Op/Love Bus), break buses, transportation for Metro Arts Access programs, and transportation within the City of Northfield. Campus Services is located on the lower level of Sayles-Hill. If you have questions about this transition, please direct them to Julia Burmesch at (507) 222-5428 or check out the Campus Services website at  https://apps.carleton.edu/campus/services/

Fred Rogers, Vice President and Treasurer and Hudlin Wagner, Dean of Students
