Sound Systems
We have two sound systems available to be reserved for registered student sponsored events. To reserve a sound system, visit the Student Activities Office. We will assist you in reserving the right system and accessories for your event!
Sound System Policies
- Reservations are made on a first-come first-serve basis for registered student events. Reservations for sound systems are made in person in the Student Activities Office.
- All systems and/or accessories checked out require an agreement form to be completed on behalf of the student(s) that check out the system.
- All equipment checked out must be returned and be in clean and working condition. Unclean, damaged or missing equipment will result in fines applied to the student's account that signed the agreement form.
- All equipment checked out must return immediately after the event has concluded during our business hours (M-F 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.). For example, if you have an event on Saturday, the system needs to be returned no later than 10:00 a.m. Monday. Late fines apply.
- Equipment can only be used at registered events. If the event is shut down by a college official, the system can not be started up again or moved to another location.
Sound Systems
System 1 (Radio Shack Speakers with Mixer/Amp) is used for large events and events with loud music. It includes two radio shack speakers, a 6 input mixer, two speaker cables, a power cord, and an ipod/computer adaptor. You may need two people to help pick-up and return the system.
System 2 (Peavey Fender with Mixer/Amp) is used for small speaking engagements or for events with background music. It is an all-in one system with two fender speakers and a mixer/amp with up to 6 inputs.
Sound System Accessories
- Microphones come with a cable, a microphone stand and clip. We have up to 3 microphone stands and up to 6 microphones for check-out at any given time.
- Ipod/Computer adapter
- Extension Cords
Please Note:
- We DO NOT have any lights, disco balls, strobe lights etc. available.
- We DO NOT have fog machines available. They should never be used in any college facility (Sayles, Residence Halls, etc.) as they will set off the fire alarms.
The Presentation, Events, and Production Support (PEPS) Office also has a variety of systems and support resources they loan for events.
