Working and Interning in Asia

These links will help you get started looking for employment opportunities in Asia. If you have more questions, come by the Career Center and ask a staff member about opportunities abroad.

  • Alfa Fellowship Program - This program to Russia starts with a three-week seminar program with key Russian officials in various sectors discussing issues facing Russia today. Fellows are then placed into work assignments carefully chosen for each Fellow. The program is sponsored by the Alfa Bank in Russia.
  • Colorado China Council (CCC) - The primary focus of CCC is sending North Americans to teach English, as well as other academic subjects, at universities throughout China. The Council has placed over 330 teachers, making it one of the U.S.'s largest non-religious providers of teachers to China.
  • JET - Japan Education and Teaching offers many teaching opportunities in Japan. A number of Carleton students have been on the program in recent years.
  • O-Hayo Sensei - The bi-weekly newsletter focuses on jobs teaching English in Japan with more than 100 positions per issue.
