Campus Employment

Work During The Academic Year

If you're thinking about getting a job during the school year, we recommend working on campus. If you have the interest, applying for a student leadership position can give you spending money as well as valuable experience that will transfer to future jobs. Positions include:

  • Student Wellness Advisor (SWA)
  • Resident Advisor (RA)
  • Peer Career Advisor (PCA)
  • Multicultural Peer Leader (MPL)
  • Multicultural Peer Counselor (MPC)
  • Chaplain's Assistant (CA)
  • Student Department Assistant (SDA)

These opportunities can help prepare you for work outside of Carleton. Also consider working for the ACT Office, which can also provide valuable experience.

To view current campus openings, contact the Student Financial Services office.

Work During The Summer or Breaks

Thinking about staying on at Carleton over the summer or during winter or summer breaks? Many departments and offices employ students during the breaks. Ask around at different academic departments. Most summer job openings are announced at the end of Winter or the beginning of Spring Term.
