SLAC Fairs

What are SLAC Fairs?

SLAC Fairs cater specifically to small liberal arts college students looking for employment. These employers have expressed interest in looking for students with liberal arts education. SLAC fairs are especially useful to interview with organizations that don't recruit on-campus.

When and where are they held?

This year, the Regional Job Fairs will be held in:

  • Chicago - Friday, November 30, 2007
  • Boston - Thursday, January 3, 2008
  • New York - Friday, January 4, 2008
  • Washington DC - Monday, January 7, 2008
  • Philadelphia - Tuesday, January 8, 2008 [snow date: Wed., Jan. 9]

How do I Register for the Regional Fairs?

The Virtual Fair will be held:

  • Coast-to-Coast Virtual Fair - March 26 through April 6, 2007. If you applied to participate in the SLAC Job Fairs you will already have access to applying online. If you are new to this, please stop in to the Career Center to gain Full Access to apply online. In the Virtual Fair, the process is the same as for the SLAC fairs, in that the job descriptions will be available and you can apply online. You will submit your resume or other information requested by the employer online, however, there is no specific date or place for the interview. This is something that you will have to arrange individually with the employer. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Hendel at mhendel@carleton.edu.
