What's the point of networking?

Networking can help you:

• Learn about career fields you are interested in
• Gather information about particular organizations and companies
• Investigate specific jobs
• Find available internships and summer job opportunities
• Find job leads

The purpose is to gather information from someone who works in a career or organization that interests you. Do not ask directly for a job or internship.
