Don't scoff. There really are jobs in Antarctica. But it seems lots of people want to live in one of the coldest places on Earth, so jobs are tough to get.

• United States Antarctic Program (USAP) - Funded by the U.S. Government's National Science Foundation (NSF), the United States Antarctic Program (USAP) supports scientific research in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
• Raytheon Polar Services Company (RPSC) - Exists specifically to meet the needs of the NSF Office of Polar Programs.
• The Antarctic Sun - Published during the austral summer of McMurdo Station for the United States Antarctic Program.
