First Day of School
Checklist
- Email the Northfield teacher that you have registered with to introduce yourself and confirm your first visit to the classroom. The Northfield teacher email format is: firstname.lastname@nfld.k12.mn.us Your teacher name will be in your confirmation email.
- Read and review materials on the Spanish 204 Academic Civic Engagement website: http://apps.carleton.edu/collab/civic/courses/spanish204/
- Decide on and arrange transportation to your site.
- Arrive 5-10 minutes early your first day, check in at the Front Office (all visitors are required to check-in), and find your assigned classroom
- Continue with your placement weekly for seven weeks (please look at the attached Northfield School District calendar for any irregularities in your tutoring/mentoring assignment)
- If you can not attend your session due to an emergency or illness, email both the Northfield teacher in advance as well as your professor. The Northfield students are counting on your mentoring, so please make every effort to be there.
